Tropper Mobile Feed Mills

Ever since acquiring our first machine from Tropper in 2005 it was clear to us that they are a very innovative, forward thinking company, we also like that they are a family firm and you are able to deal straight with Johannes Tropper who is also backed up by very knowledgeable staff.

We now run three Mega-Mix Duo Mobile Mills with two 6tonne Mixing Tanks fitted onto Scania R490 6x2 chassis with a rear steer axle which makes them very manoeuvrable, we have opted for Scania in recent years mainly due to their reliability and brilliant back-up from West Pennine Trucks at Knighton, as it's imperative that when we do have breakdowns we can get back out on the road to keep our customer's livestock fed quickly.

The Mill's all have the capability of both suction and blowing at the same time due to having two mixing tanks so that we are able to achieve averages of over 20tonne per hour depending on product, suction distance etc. Both the Roller Mill and Hammer Mill are variable and easy to adjust to the customers requirement for the grist of their feed, from as small as 3mm Meal through the Hammer Mill, hard or gently rolled and also suction into the mixing tanks whole. Having two separate tanks also means it is possible to mix different rations in each tank if needs be or simply just one ration.

The machines are all capable of sucking in raw materials such as cereals, soya, protein pellets, beans, soya oil or molasses from many different places, be it bulk bunkers, trailers, silo's and so on, they are also fitted with induction hoppers on the rear where you can dispense bagged products like yeast or minerals into the ration. There are many different options when it comes to discharging the final mix, anything from blowing directly into feed silos or through the unloading arm into bunkers or trailers. The Pressure System of the machine means that after every discharge the mixing tanks arm completely empty thus eliminating the risk of cross contamination between feeds and making the traceability of Mobile Milling second to none.
